Even if you have a small bedroom you can make it the best spacious and well decorated!

A small bedroom that lacks floor space usually lacks storage space, and although a bedroom is mainly used for rest and relaxation, a certain amount of room is necessary for storing clothing, jewelry, knickknacks, and personal belongings. Take advantage of available space in a small bedroom, and consider the following storage solutions with style. With stylish wall decor, storage containers, and a little ingenuity, it is possible to make the most of available space while decorating the room. It really is very easy to transform a bedroom that is too close for comfort into an area that is stylish and more spacious than ever, and this can be accomplished without knocking down walls and completely remodeling.

Repurpose Unnecessary Furnishings

Large furnishings look out of place in a small bedroom. If furniture is taking up too much space in a small bedroom, repurpose a nightstand or two, and invest in stylish adjustable wall lighting instead of table lamps. Nightstands generally do not provide a great deal of storage space, and anything that was stored in nightstands can be easily relocated and stored in a decorative covered basket. Magazines, books, and whatnot will still be within easy reach, and wall lighting will provide plenty of illumination.

How to install a wall shelf

Stylish Shelves for Storing Clothes and Decorating the Room

Walls provide a considerable amount of square footage for storage, but more often than not, wall space is not considered when looking for extra room to store clothes. Install deepwall shelves with decorative brackets, and use the shelving to store clothing and knickknacks. In addition, select stylish baskets that will fit on the shelves. Use every other shelf for decorating with favorite trinkets, home decor, and other works of art. Select tabletop sculptures, collectibles, and other stylish items that will fit nicely on the shelves and coordinate well with the bedroom. When decorating with baskets and wall shelves you will gain a great deal of storage space in a small bedroom.

Under Bed Storage

Many people use the area beneath a bed for storing items rarely used, but the space beneath the bed is ideal for storing clothing, extra blankets, and other commonly used items. Consider buying inexpensive plastic storage containers with lids, and use the containers to store t-shirts, jeans, and anything else that would otherwise take up space in drawers. When a bedroom is small and storage space is drastically limited, implementing the space beneath the bed can eliminate the need for an extra dresser or chest of drawers. This will free up much needed floor space, and as a result the bedroom will look and feel more spacious than ever.

After eliminating a dresser, mount a large stylish framed mirror on a wall and a full-length mirror on a closet door. Chances are you will have more storage space for clothing when stored in covered containers beneath the bed, and the small bedroom will appear much less crowded. The large framed wall mirror will add beauty and style to the bedroom while increasing the visual size of the space. While considering ways of decorating the bedroom, place the mirror across from a natural source of light or across from another mirror of similar size and style. Decorating with beautiful framed mirrors will make any small bedroom appear larger than ever.

Hi A - If you do not have any space under your bed, they use your walls. Get shelves on your walls, and extend them right up to the ceiling. Use uniform storage bins to keep the shelves neat and cohesive looking.

hi, i am young but with great ideas and i think for Tgger, that the best choice could possibly, if u buy a desk to put in that small space, put shelving over it, instead of choosing 1 or the other.

Hi Kayla --- That is an excellent ides. Customizing the space to work exactly how you need it is a great way to solve the problem. Thanks for reading.

One idea I have used personally is using very small plastic containers with attaching lids to store small items. In a small room, displaying such items may not be an option. These containers can be stacked easily, tucked into drawers, set on furniture without being in the way all too much. And it keeps items such as nail polish, pens, post it notes, medicine, sunglasses, and other small items from "floating" across your room and cluttering up an already small living space.

Hi Katelyn --- Organizing small items in containers is a fantastic idea, and it definitely keeps any space, especially a small one, from getting cluttered. Thanks for reading.
