Finding the Perfect Home Office Chair
65
While contemporary wall artwork, like trees wall hangings, can make your home office more pleasant to work in, your chair has a very big effect on your comfort in a home office. The more comfy that you are while working, the more likely that you will be able to stay focused on your work. Comfort plays a big role in focus and dedication, and these are key issues if you work from home or do a lot of business from your home office; therefore your comfort affects your profitability in some ways. Finding the perfect home office chair is not always easy, since there are so many important factors to consider.
Style
The style of the chair should be based on the overall look of the room instead of simply going to a retail store that offers computer chairs and choosing one at random. You may get lucky and find a decent chair that meets your needs adequately, but you stand the same chance of winding up with an uncomfortable seat that makes you dread having to sit and get anything accomplished. Do your homework before you shop, and have a better idea of the style of chair that will more efficiently meet your seating needs.
The décor in your home office can also impact the perfect home office chair choice, since some style clash with décor options. It is not that difficult to find a chair that coordinates with your décor without overwhelming the room or costing a small fortune, and you have a great furniture item that is versatile and functional if you have need of it elsewhere.
Options
Chair legs or rollers, arms and armrests, back, and even the seat itself have many different variations, from simple student chairs to executive chairs designed for corporate presidents. Shop around at different retailers and check out all of the options available, or do some online shopping to find something that works for your needs and space requirements. The chair should be comfortable for your body, from the height of the seat to the shape of the armrests.
You can find many home office chairs that have wheels or rollers to make moving them easy, which is a real must-have for those who are required to move from, for example, a computer station to a drawing table. Ergonomic models are ideal for optimal comfort, but be aware that they can cost a bit more than standard office chairs. You could also go with a wingback style, with traditional chair legs and a more refined and sophisticated look altogether.
Cost
Finding the perfect home office chair can be based on style or optional features, but most people are limited by budget considerations more than any other factor. Chairs can cost anywhere from less than fifty dollars to more than several hundred, depending on where you purchase, what brand you choose, and other cost-affecting factors. The trendier the style and brand name, the more the chair will cost. You normally get what you pay for in this instance though, and sometimes a few more dollars up front will get you something that lasts a lot longer in the long run, giving you more real value for your dollar.
